You know how when you meet someone, and you instantly want to be their friend? That’s how I felt when I met Rebekah and Jon over coffee in Okotoks. Jon’s family farms and ranches near Okotoks and Rebekah’s family immigrated to the area from Scotland. It’s a pretty cool mix. They both travelled in the same circles and had similar friends, but never met up until later in life.

Rebekah’s extended family are making the trek over from Scotland for their 2016 wedding. I think the funniest comment she made yesterday during their engagement session was that hopefully the wind dies down for the wedding day because kilts and wind gusts don’t exactly go well together 🙂

We met in Kananaskis Country for their engagement session. Their moms came as well (they are just the cutest) to help hold Paisley, their 6-month old puppy.

Great job! I love the one with the blanket being up in the air – it's so fun! I also really adore that they included their pup!

Love the one with the plaid blanket, but then i'm a plaid junkie 🙂 lol great captures!

They look like a great couple and you captured their love artfully! On the bright side, if the wind does blow too strongly it'll make for some memorable candids!

Beautiful, Loree! That one with the blanket in the air is so fun – love their expressions!

LOL, the shot with the wind in the blanket definitely shows me what kind of weather you were dealing with! Looks like you made the absolute most of it! The images look great. I love how the wind is blowing her hair.

These are so much fun! Looks like it was super windy, but it worked with the blanket shot! Gorgeous mountain engagement session!

Very sweet. You can totally feel the connection between the two.

These are lovely! I love moody they are.

Lori, I just love your black and whites so much! They are so romantic and connected. Also that windy shot with the blanket is fab!!!

My fave image is the one with the plaid blanket! What a great shot! Loving the tone of these photos too! great job!

Lovely images. They look so happy together 🙂
