Jessie and Scott {Kananaskis Calgary wedding photographer}

Where do I even begin? A good place is that this was probably the most fun reception I have ever attended. Hands down. Seriously, I was worried about camera shake because I was laughing so hard during speeches and the dance.

I first met Jessie when she was a bridesmaid at a wedding I photographed last summer in Priddis for Niki and Colin. When I sat down for coffee with Jessie and Scott to hear more about their wedding plans, I learned that he proposed wearing a panda suit. Because in his words, “I’ve never heard of anyone proposing in a panda suit before.” They met at Queen’s University when they were both engineering students. Fast forward to today and they make their home in Calgary.

The wedding ceremony and reception was held at the scenic Brewster’s Kananaskis Guest Ranch. The wedding party readied themselves at the nearby Stoney Nakoda Resort. Scott’s dad, Mike, performed the ceremony with the rocky mountains as a backdrop. It was amazing.

The speeches were nothing short of hilarious. And the dance…..it took wedding receptions to a whole other level. Scott and his Manitoba friends (where he is from) have a special way of dancing to the song, “It’s Raining Men.” I will let you see for yourself what happens….

Absolutely beautiful! It sounds like a fabulous wedding, and your captured it so perfectly. 🙂

So much personality shining through in these pictures! I really love your wedding photography. One of my favourite photos is of them walking down the aisle together after just being married! So much happiness.

Great photos from a wonderful Calgary wedding photographer.

Wow! Such great wedding photos! I love how you captured both intimate moments as well as the fun moments. The panda suit kills me – haha. Calgary is a great town and looks like everyone knew how to party!

Ha ha, love the panda head! Awesome wedding captures. I love the Calgary venue—just stunning!
