Chelsey and Wensley {Lacombe wedding photographer}

June 24, 2012 , Wedding

I

I first met with Chelsey at the tea house in Lacombe where she works. She was several months pregnant and my baby was crawling around on the floor. I loved hearing all about her plans for her wedding to Wensley and all the little touches she was putting into it. I’ve often said she is my superstar bride because in the midst of her planning, baby Bentley was born. I can’t image how busy she must have been juggling being a new mom and planning a wedding! She pulled it off beautifully.

Fast forward to a couple days ago. Wenley’s family had flown in from England, friends and family made their way from the U.S., Canada and Saskatchewan (and I’m sure a few other places in-between). The forecast said no rain but the skies were dark. By the end of the ceremony, the sun was shining and it was actually hot out! A perfect day for an outdoor wedding.

I met Wensley the day of the wedding. He is a gentleman and a fantastic father. I loved watching him walk down the aisle carrying his son. There was some humour in the ceremony when the rings were forgotten in a car. All was saved when the new “grown up” ring bearer came down the aisle after freeing them from the car. Little Cohen then carried them the rest of the way. It was a moment I’m sure no one will forget.

I wish this family of three nothing but the best as they move into married life. They are the sweetest couple with the awesomest group of family and friends. It was such a wonderful day and I’m proud to show you this preview.

Make sure to watch the video at the end. It features many more photos that are in this post. Plus….everything is better with music right?!
