Alexandra and Will {Canmore Wedding Photographer}

Alexandra and Will’s wedding was one I’ve been looking forward to all year. It took place at the amazing Silvertip Resort in Canmore on what was one of the hottest days we’ve had so far this summer.

Alex and Kate met while both on an overseas trip. Will was on holidays from Australia and Alex, vacationing from Canada – met, talked all night…and the rest is history. Will immigrated to Canada two years ago and they now make their home in Calgary.  Countless family and friends flew into Canada from Australia for the wedding. The timing was perfect. They were also able to take in the world-famous Calgary Stampede at the same time. Sitting at the reception was a little like sitting in a meeting of the UN. There were so many accents and well-traveled guests. Alexandra’s father is from Germany, so his family provided the European flavour to the day….including sabering a champagne bottle after the ceremony.

Alex and Will had the most amazing 1952 Bentley Mk VI as their transportation. Highland Executive Chauffeur of Canmore provided this glamorous touch.

The speeches were funny, touching and witty. The wine flowed, the meal was delicious….and the dancing….was entertaining! Kate Melvina and her band provided the soulful sound that kept the guests on the dance floor!

When I left, the party was going strong. No doubt it went well into the evening!
